Molly Green has returned with her latest single Million Dollar Baby, the final release of a hugely successful year.

The track marks the follow up to her acoustic EP Naked, released earlier this year.

Speaking about Million Dollar Baby, Molly Green explained, “Million Dollar Baby came about after getting some harsh truths from my mother. We were discussing my not-so-existent love life and she said I was selling myself short. She actually said I was selling myself for 5p, so I was being generous upping it to a fiver! Afterwards it became my motto, reminding myself often that I’m worth a million dollars. I really feel that everyone should get into this habit; it’s easy to let people treat you like you’re worth less when you lose sight of that.”

The powerful single features Molly Green’s excellent vocals throwing back to the era of Ella Fitzgerald alongside shuffling drums and a stomping bassline with brass, bass and organ completing a stunning texture.  It’s a track which continues to showcase Molly Green’s incredible versatility.

The track is the latest from Molly Green, who spent two years studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.  This year on top of the singles she has caught the ears of Joy Crookes and Yousef, opening for Crookes at her most recent Liverpool headline show and hitting the studio with Yousef to record Save Me.
