Loyle Carner has announced a run of UK tour dates as he unveils his new single Stars and Shards.

Carner’s music is planted at an intersection between the boom-bap of East Coast hip-hop, jazz-inflected portraits of South London, and soulful, laid back poetry; there’s solid, honest and raw sentimentality running through his sound. You get the sense he leaves no door closed, as though he’s inviting the listener in to come in, sit down, have a cup of tea, confess, and work through their problems together.  Stars and Shards is about one of Carner’s friends who lost their way – it’s brimming with honesty and humble perseverance, it’s a warm bath of studiously relaxed hip-hop and soul.
