Manchester’s Northern Quarter welcomes a brand-new bar this week, with George’s Bar and Kitchen bringing craft beers, cocktails and American food truck inspired food to the city.

George’s Bar and Kitchen will open its doors to the public on Thursday 27 June on Manchester’s High Street in the Northern Quarter.

As well as classic and house creation cocktails, craft beers and spirits, the venue will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The venue will also run entertainment 7-nights a week with live music, open mic nights and regular DJ sets from some of Manchester’s biggest names on the main stage.  The bars will also feature sports fixtures across large screens and projectors.

George’s Bar and Kitchen is a new venture from the creative team behind the Magical Christmas Movie Experience and Valentine’s Movie Experience pop-up cinema evnts.

To celebrate the opening of George’s Bar and Kitchen, organisers have arranged a special opening weekend event with guests receiving a free welcome drink on arrival, a selection of canapes and tasters from the food menu and a free drink card.

Live entertainmnet over the weekend will include a DJ set from Suck It and Spin on Friday (8pm-1am) and Saturday (7pm-1am).  There will also be an exclusive acoustic performance from Mike Dignam on Saturday afternoon (1.30pm-3.15pm).

We have been working hard to create a venue that will cater to all taste s and the end result – George’s Bar and Kitchen promises just that, offering great variety and the very best in food, drink and entertainment.

“The cocktail menu will include fruity twists on the classics, plus some amazing in-house creations such as the Sweet Pisco Punch and our Angostura’s sour. On top of that you’ll find a wide selection of spirits, a variety of draught and bottled beers, fab wines and more.

“Our food menu will bring the proud tradition of the American food truck to Manchester. Think big, bold, over portioned and dirty sandwiches, sticky ribs and succulent steak.”

George’s Bar and Kitchen opens at 11am on Thursday 27 June.
