Cody Frost has shared new single Wot? ahead of a run of UK tour dates with Meet Me At The Altar including a Manchester gig at Rebellion.
The new single follows Cody Frost’s acclaimed Teeth EP last year along with nomination for UK Breakthrough Artist at the Heavy Music Awards and festival performances including Download.
Wot? finds Cody Frost experimenting with a new sound, blending punk, hyperpop, nu-metal and dub. Lyrically it swipes at the dark side of the music industry.
Speaking about the track Cody Frost said, “WOT?’ is a song about a made up character who chooses downers as his main vice. It’s a sad tale about drug abuse in the music industry. I wanted to challenge the preconception around the industry being glamorous and party filled and really bring to light a big issue that a lot of creatives face, addiction. Whether it be addiction to the craft, or addiction to substances, there is always a craving for that buzz, or that release.”
