CATBEAR are set to support The Subways at Manchester’s Gorilla, just ahead of the release of their new single I Choose Love.
The London based duo of Zoe Konez and Sarah Smith hit Gorilla as they build towards the next stage of their career following the success of their 2021 debut album.
New single I Choose Love marks a dreampop anthem to celebrate queer love and fighting to live as your true self. It features synths, guitars, a pulsating bassline, nostalgia and strong vocals. Speaking about the track, Zoe Konez said, “It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and lost in the challenges of being an individual in today’s world – even just walking out of your door can feel like you need to put your armour on to prepare for judgement, whether at work, on the bus or at the supermarket. ‘I Choose Love’ is your armour for a message of defiance, of confidence to be yourself, and a reminder to treat everyone as equals.”
CATBEAR will support The Subways on their 11 date UK tour which includes a Manchester gig at Gorilla.
