New York based trio Against The Current have announced a return to the UK this autumn as part of their full world tour.

The tour also marks a return to Manchester Academy for the band which sold out Club Academy in an outstanding and hugely energetic show at the end of 2015.

Formed in 2011 by Chrissy Costanza, Dan Gow and Will Ferri, the pop-rockers released their first track Thinking in 2012, self-releasing two EPs in the following year. In February 2015, the band released their third EP Gravity, paving the way for their first world tour.  They also developed a massive following through releasing a series of outstanding YouTube covers including an incredible version of Uptown Funk and covers of artists such as Taylor Swift, 5SOS, Paramore and more.

After the success of their tour, the band headed to Los Angeles to record their debut album In Our Bones, with the producer of their previous EP, Tommy English. Released on 20 May this year, the album is a product of Against the Current’s experimentation with new synth sounds and techniques.

Following their release of In Our Bones, the band, also know for the ferocious energy of their live shows in which lead singer Chrissy Costanza almost resembles a whirlwind, will tour the US extensively, before heading over for the European leg of their world tour.
