Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey has added a Manchester gig at New Century Hall to his 40th anniversary Into The Gap tour.

The Manchester gig is one of eight UK dates he is set to headline.  The tour will open in May at in Birmingham, with further dates in Gateshead, Edinburgh, Guildford, Bath, London and Cambridge.

During the tour, Tom Bailey will perform the Thompson Twins’ album Into The Gap, which hit the number one spot in 1984 alongside other Thompson Twins hits.  The album sold more than 5 million copies and featured the singles Hold Me Now, Doctor Doctor, You Take Me Up, Sister of Mercy and The Gap.

Speaking about the tour, Tom Bailey said, “Unbelievably, it’s the 40th anniversary of “Into the Gap” this year, so I’m especially looking forward to touring the UK and playing all those songs along with some other favourites. Hope to see you there!”
