Manchester’s The Printworks has launched a new digital campaign to bring Mancunians together virtually during lockdown.

The scheme is inspired by the Humans of New York campaign and will focus on the people who make up the city, spreading positive messages and support.

With the city in lockdown and social isolation known like never before, Humans of Manchester encourages people to upload a video and share their favourite things about the city.  Based on Printworks’ social media channels, the campaign urges people to say what they miss and the first places they will visit and first activities they will do once lockdown is lifted.

Humans of Manchester will run for two weeks with a winner chosen at random to receive £200 of Printworks vouchers to use in any of the venues within the site once it opens.

Speaking about the campaign, Adam Jackson Printworks’ Marketing Manager said, “One of the most difficult aspects of the COVID-19 lockdown is being isolated and separated from the ones we love. We want our Humans of Manchester campaign to spread positivity across the city and bring us back together to celebrate everything that is Manchester and help people to look forward to the future.

“Printworks has been at the heart of Manchester for over 20 years, supporting and celebrating throughout the city’s history. It is no different during the COVID-19 lockdown, we want to encourage everyone to get involved and we can’t wait to see the amazing video entries.”
