The Happy Mondays have announced a huge Greatest Hits tour featuring their classic line-up performing 29 dates across the UK including Manchester Academy.

Shaun Ryder, Bez, Rowetta, Gary Whelan, Paul Ryder, Mary Day and Dan Broad will hit the road to perform their timeless hits including Kinky Afro, Hallelujah, W.F.L., Loose Fit, Judge Fuder and 24 Hour Party people.

The 29-date tour opens on 23 October before, stopping off at Manchester Academy and Liverpool’s Mountford Hall.

Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder said, “Be great to be back out on the road with Happy Mondays for some pre-Christmas partying!! Looking forward to playing all the hits and more at these shows.”

Bez said, “Really excited and looking forward to the Happy Mondays tour – can’t wait to do some freaky dancing.”



Rowetta added, “I’m really looking forward to this tour, almost 30 years since I first got on stage with the Mondays. The band and the fans are like family to me and I still love singing these songs as much as I did in 1990.”

When do tickets go on sale for Happy Mondays at Manchester Academy?

Tickets for Happy Mondays’ UK tour go on sale at 10am on Friday 22 February.  A presale will take place through tour venues from 10am on Wednesday 20 February.
