Sam Burton is set to support Weyes Blood at her sold-out Manchester O2 Ritz date. The Manchester gig lands just weeks after the release of his latest track Maria.
Maria marks the first taste of Sam Burton’s upcoming album Dear Departed. With the album release date still to be confirmed, the singer songwriter is already laying down a marker with a track featuring string arrangements and striking vocals. It finds Sam Burton expanding on his acclaimed 2020 debut I Can Go With You, with urgency and intensity.
As Sam Burton explains, “Maria is a song of brief redemption. It’s seeing a shape in the soft light and trusting it’s there even though it’s not defined.”

The LA based singer and songwriter is has recently wrapped up a three week residency at Los Angeles’ Club Teegee and is currently on the road with Weyes Blood who he joins on the UK leg of her tour.
He will return to the UK in September to play at End of the Road Festival.
