Comedian and broadcaster Munya Chawawa has announced plans for his debut headline UK tour including a Manchester show at the O2 Ritz. He will also perform a Liverpool show at Mountford Hall.
The comedian burst on to the scene owing to his satirical humour and observational musings and a roster of original characters.
The new tour will witness Munya Chawawa showcasing brand-new material across the UK as his delves in to pop-culture, featuring some of his best loved characters including newsreader Barty Crease, TV chef Jonny Oliver and posh drill rapper Unknown P.
The Zimbabwe-born entertainer has cemented a name for himself on national television as a contestant on Channel 4’s hit series Taskmaster, and as creator and presenter of Race Around Britain, which celebrates Black British culture, and was the first YouTube originals series ever to be nominated for a TV BAFTA. Most recently, Munya’s personal and thought-provoking documentary How To Survive a Dictator landed to critical acclaim on Channel 4. Munya has also appeared on the likes of BBC One’s Celebrity MasterChef, BBC Three’s Munya and Filly Get Chilly, Channel 4’s The Last Leg and more.

Munya Chawawa performs at Manchester’s O2 Ritz on 6 October 2023. He then performs at Liverpool’s Mountford Hall on 21 October 2023. The Manchester and Liverpool shows are two of nine dates he has announced:
