Manchester band Foxglove are back with their new single Run, building on the momentum of their biggest summer yet.

After performances at NBHD Weekender and Kendall Calling the band return with a track about life not turning out the way you expect.  In an ironic twist the lyrics were penned by vocalist Abi White before Foxglove found out that they would be performing their first ever festival slots.

Drawing in inspirations from as wide as U2, The 1975, Sam Fender and Taylor Swift, Run features guitarist Ryan Croney’s country and rock inspired tones with Abi White’s sentimental vocals over the top; accompanied by Joe Myers’ melodic basslines and Liam Croney’s drums.  The track is filled with a euphoria that Foxglove have become renowned for, with a tinge of synths and nostalgia to contrast the emotions behind the vocals.

The track also looks at the disappointment of putting everything into something without results.  Foxglove soon realised that this anguish was a reoccurring theme resonating with themselves and lots of people growing up in working-class families in their late teens and early twenties.  Run is set to be accompanied by a video which emphasises how each band members’ childhoods differed.
