Loyle Carner is set to headline at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse as part of his 17 date UK tour.  He will also headline at Liverpool’s Mountford Hall.

The dates land just two weeks after this weekends BRIT Awards where his is nominated for Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act.

With Mercury and Brits nominations, NME Awards and appearances in global brand campaigns (Nike, YSL, Timberland), Loyle Carner has undoubtedly had a meteoric rise to the top.

Latest album Hugo saw Loyle Carner deviate from his previous work, the effect of lockdown removing previous aspects of of his creative side and inspiration.  As he explained it was down to the “hedonistic side of career being stripped away. There were no shows, no backstage, no festivals, no photoshoots.”  The result was a sense of clarity and artistic freedom which saw him find new depth.  The ambitious Hugo marked a 10-track album blending inspirations from neo-soul to hip-hop with sampled interludes from non-musicians including mixed-race Guyanese poet John Agard and youth activist and politician Athian Akec.

Hugo took on everything everything from strained relationships with family to the societal tears caused by class stratification.  It saw him reveal his personal life as never before, with the impact of becoming a father having grown up without contact with his own biological father.
