After the release of their recent single Something More and debut EP, Lauren Housley and the Northern Cowboys will return to The Carlton Club for a headline set next week.

The Manchester gig comes in the midst of a run of 10 UK dates on The Social Club tour.

Stopping in venues around England, the band will be bringing their own social club set along to each show, recreating the iconic and unique Northern glamour of the 1980’s social clubs of South Yorkshire everywhere they go.

Speaking about the tour and Something More, Lauren Housley said, “There’s something magical about witnessing a full band bouncing off each other musically.  It brings a certain collective energy and excitement to a live show and to my own performance with the band and the audience. I can’t wait to get out there.

“Something More is about diving into the unknown in search of those things that make you who you are and make life mean something to you. We wanted the track to glisten, groove and soar like those vintage RnB tracks that make you feel like anything is possible. It’s got strings, horns and some seriously cool BV’s.”

The new releases come on the back of three independent albums for the award-winning Lauren Housley.  It was after sharing bills with artists such as Van Morrison, Jack Saveretti and First Aid Kit, Housley decided to develop her own live show and to go all-in with her own band which in turn inspired songs and recording with The Northern Cowboys Band.
