Idina Menzel has shared the fiery single Dramatic, which features on her upcoming dance project Drama Queen.
Idina Menzel will release the nine-track Drama Queen on 18 August.
New single Dramatic marks the second release from the upcoming album, delivering a message to those who may fail to understand Idina’s larger-than-life personality, demonstrating that all the drama that comes along with her also comes with an even larger abundance of passion. The track delves in to the theme of the album, encouraging a passionate, fiery and emotional life, explaining that being a drama queen is actually a positive trait.
“Dramatic is one of my favorite songs off the album that I wrote with Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters and Jim Elliot. The song is about embracing all the different sides of who we are” she explains.
The Tony-Award winning singer, actress and songwriter has also shared a video for album opener Move, featuring dance sequences choregraphed by Richard “Richy” Jackson. Shot in New York City, shimmering disco balls and shiny dance floors encapsulate the iconic style and energy of the disco genre.
