The schedule for Grimmfest 2014 (International Festival of Horror and Cult Film) has just been announced, with tickets already on sale.
Hosted by the Dancehouse (Oxford Road), this year’s line-up promises to be the biggest and best Grimmfest yet!
Grimmfest is an annual film screening festival organised by Grimm Up North, a talented group of people with a passion for horror and cult film. Grimm Up North hold monthly film screenings at the Dancehouse for fans of classic horror, cult, extreme fantasy and Sci-fi movies, bringing the very best of the genre from around the world.
They have presented many movie premieres and celebrity guests have included Ross Noble (QI), Martin Kemp (Spandau Ballet), Stars of Emmerdale Patrick Mower & Dominic Brunt, Robin Hardy (The Wicker Man), Pollyanna McIntosh (The Woman), Reece Shearsmith (The league of Gentlemen), Matthew Holness (Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace), Alice Lowe (Sightseers), Shaun Evans (Endeavour, Boy A), The cast of Clive Barker’s HELLRAISER, Myanna Buring (Ripper Street, The Decent, Kill List), as well as holding special film maker talks.
Grimmfest 2014, which is being held from 2nd-5th October 2014, promises some great movie premieres from around the world, as well as some genre classics, special guests and celebrity guests including 70’s prog soundtrack legends GOBLIN.
Individual day and night passes will be released shortly, as soon as the full line up for the festival has been announced.
