With the huge success of the 2014 Indie All-Dayer under their belt, organisers have confirmed that it will return for a second day of music from some of the most legendary guitar acts of the British music scene on 23rd May 2015.  And to boot, the first two acts have been confirmed – Echo & The Bunnymen and Gang Of Four.

Taking place on the May Bank Holiday weekend, The Gigantic Indie All-Dayer Vol 2 is set to take over Manchester Academy for ten hours of uninterrupted top notch music featuring six top rated acts.  With Liverpudlian outfit Echo & The Bunnymen returning recently from their critically acclaimed US tour and on the back of their recent release Meteorites, fans will know to expect an outstanding set from the group which boasts 12 albums amongst their massive outstanding back catalogue.

Leeds-bred post punk pioneers Gang Of Four have also seen their name crop up in lists of greatest albums for Pitchfork and Rolling Stone as their blend of rock, funk and dub has seen them repeatedly praised.

And there’s certainly more to come – three further acts are expected to be confirmed over the coming weeks with another big announcement set for December.

Whilst the event is about the music, The Gigantic Indie All-Dayer Vol. 2 will also feature a beer and cider festival to keep gig-goers refreshed.

Kicking off at 1.30pm on Saturday 23rd May 2015 and running through to 11.30pm, it’s expected to be another mammoth event.  And those who made the 2014 event will receive an email offering them the change to buy discounted early bird tickets at £25 (normally £29).
