Saturday 29th June – The James L’Estraunge Orchestra
The last Saturday of this month, The James L’Estraunge Orchestra heads to the Pen & Pencil for a night of eclectic jazz and soul mixes by the band that never was. The James L’Estraunge Orchestra, a new project by DJ Ricky Reid is a musical journey of jazz, electronic and even folk influences in this eclectic mixtape.
James will be playing an exclusive DJ set at the Pen and Pencil supported by Pen & Pencil residents A Deeper Groove, expect anything from house, soul to disco with a few curve balls thrown in for good measure.

Friday & Saturday at The Pen & Pencil
Manchester’s DJs head to The Pen and Pencil every Friday and Saturday and groove the weekend away with disco, funk and soul beats.

Bottomless Brunch
For those who may be a little more serious about their first meal of the day, The Pen and Pencil serve their famous bottomless brunch on the last Saturday of every month from 10am. With a grand total of seven dishes on offer for those who just can’t decide which delicious dish to eat first, as well as five breakfast drinks to choose from, the Bottomless Brunch is sure to be a game changer for any self-professed breakfast connoisseurs. Options include Avocado and Feta, Steak and Eggs, Smoky Beans on Toast, of course not forgetting all the breakfast classics too! Diners are well and truly spoilt for choice. Bookings for the monthly Bottomless Brunch must be made in advance!
