After the release of their sophomore album Tell Me That It’s Over earlier this year, Wallows will return to the UK in January.
The Tell Me That It’s Over Tour features eight UK and Ireland dates including a Manchester gig at Manchester Academy. The tour opens at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre and ends with a huge show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
Support on the tour comes from May-A.
Tell Me That It’s Over was released in March and produced by the multi-Grammy Award winning Ariel Rechtshaid. The 10 track album took in sounds ranging from lo-fi post-punk to indie-folk and 90’s dance-pop psychedelia. Amongst the album’s tracks was the single Especially You which lead Wallows’ Dylan Minnette to explain, “It’s about when you’re in the early stages of a relationship and you get so worried that the other person’s mind will change at the flip of a switch. It’s about stressing over the smallest things for no reason, but it’s definitely self-aware about the fact that I’m doing this all to myself.”
The album marks the Los Angeles-based trio’s following up to acclaimed 2019 debut album Nothing Happens.
The run of UK shows mark the second part of a split tour, following an initial run in August 2022 which included dates at Liverpool’s O2 Academy and Reading and Leeds Festival.
