The Songs of Joni Mitchell will be brought to life by Jesca Hoop, Lail Arad and Olivia Chaney with Josephine Oniyama at Manchester’s RNCM.
Following a recent debut at The Roundhouse’s In The Round Festival in April, The Songs of Joni Mitchell will now be taken to Manchester, Bristol and Glasgow.
The show was conceived and curated by Lail Arad in celebration of Joni Mitchell’s 80th birthday. The success of the sold out Roundhouse show led to increased demand for further shows, leading to this newly announced UK tour. The shows will be lead by Jesca Hoop, Lail Arad and Olivia Chaney. The will be joined by special guests in each city – Josephine Oniyama in Manchester; Rachael Dadd and Julia Turner in Bristol; and Rachel Sermanni in Glasgow. 2024 Roundhouse resident artist Gigi Williams will join them on all dates.
The female-dominated line-up, all celebrated singer-songwriters in their own right, will perform intimate, stripped back interpretations of their favourite Joni Mitchell songs.
