Rhett Akins has been announced to support his son Thomas Rhett on his UK tour, including the sold-out date at Manchester’s Ritz on 13 November.

Rhett Akins is a number one charting artist in his own right with hits That Ain’t My Truck and Don’t Get Me Started as well as being a prolific songwriting, contributing to a further 23 number 1 singles by the likes of Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan.

Thomas Rhett recently won single of the Year at the annual CMA Awards with his track Die A Happy Man.

The tour comes just weeks after the release of a deluxe version of Thomas Rhett’s sophomore album Tangled Up.  Tangled Up Deluxe features five new never-before-heard tracks including his new single Star Of The Show and a remix of his ACM and Billboard Music Award winning Die A Happy Man featuring Tori Kelly.

“’Star of the Show’ is one of those songs that I have lived with for a while and kept coming up as a song we needed to record and get to the fans,” said Thomas Rhett. “I wrote it with my dad right after I got married, and it was the first song I ever wrote about Lauren. It was a staple in our set before we had any hits and fans still request it to this day. The Deluxe allows us to thank our fans for an incredible year by putting out a few new songs like this one, and also by reworking a couple of favorites by adding some friends into the mix.”
