Ahead of a run of UK dates including Manchester’s Albert Hall, Pale Waves have shared the video to the title track of new album Unwanted.

Unwanted is the band’s third album and is now out via Dirty Hit.

The Manchester gig is one of six UK dates Pale Waves are headlining in November.  They will also perform at Liverpool’s O2 Academy.

Speaking about the video to Unwanted, front woman Heather Baron-Gracie said, “To finish up the era of Unwanted it only felt right to create a visual for it.  We shot this video whilst on tour with 5 Seconds of Summer in the States and we had the best time on that tour, but we’re so excited to be home for our UK tour in November.”

The title track, she adds, was written for herself and her fans.  “We don’t need to fit a perfect mould”, she explains, “we don’t need to apologise for being ourselves, we don’t care to be wanted and we won’t change for anyone.  This acceptance is what connects us.”

Pale Waves recorded the 13-track Unwanted in Los Angeles with producer Zakk Cervini.  Unwanted shows Pale Waves in a place of confidence and happiness.  “Before, I didn’t feel ready as a person to be like, ‘Yeah, I can be an angry woman and I’m proud of that’,” she explains.  “Unwanted is in your face, and that’s exactly what I wanted.  I want Pale Waves to keep growing in this direction. Bigger, bolder and more unapologetic.”
