Canadian punk power duo Grimelda are back in the UK for a run of dates including a Manchester gig at The Peer Hat.
The gig in Manchester is one of seven UK dates the band is playing in support of their new EP It’s So Feeling When You Rock.
The EP marks a new collection of tracks from the collaborative art-punk/freak-rock project of Blair Colwell and Skyler Cafferata formerly known as the faps. Speaking about the EP, Grimelda explained that is a series of tracks which “embellishes rock and roll tropes as much as it tears them apart with its bare hands.”
Grimelda are joined on tour by Telgate, Cardiff’s aggro-glam punks.
The tour marks a re-uniting of the two artists after Telgate’s Casper James featured on the Grimelda single Freedom earlier this year.
Speaking at the time about the track, Blair Colwell explained, “We’re so lucky to have support from such a wide array of communities everywhere we go, and that’s real Freedom. Gender expression is a big part of someone’s identity and it’s mind-blowing that we still need to fight for the right to literally just be ourselves.”
