Girli has announced her new EP why am i like this?? will be released on 12 May featuring new single Cheap Love.

News of Girli’s third EP comes as wraps up her first ever run of US headline shows.  She is set to headline a Manchester gig at Band on the Wall in April.

New EP why am i like this?? features the previously released singles Imposter Syndrome and I Really F**ed It Up plus the unheard Inner Child.

New track Cheap Love features a huge sing-along chorus which has quickly become a fixture of her live shows.  The track was written by girli as an exploration of the innocence of teen love and lack of materialism.

Speaking about Cheap Love Girli explained, “I wrote Cheap Love about my first ever relationship I was in, when I was still a teenager. It’s about being in love on a budget; not having loads of money to take each other out for expensive dinners, or even having a car to pick them up in, but it doesn’t matter because being in love makes you feel richer than anyone else. It’s a love song to love; even if you do have the money to do those things, most of the time it’s not the cash being spent that makes it special, its actually just the time you get with that person that matters the most.”

Cheap Love is accompanied by a video featuring the London-based artist tearing around a warehouse on the back of a motorbike driven by her love interest.

Girli is set to perform a string of headline and festival dates after the conclusion of her US shows including Manchester’s Band on the Wall later this month.
