Dermot Kennedy has announced a headline UK arena tour including a Manchester gig at the AO Arena in April 2023.

The gig in Manchester is one of 11 UK dates he has confirmed, culminating in a huge gig at London’s O2.

News of the tour landed as Dermot Kennedy released his latest track Innocence and Sadness, taken from upcoming second album SonderSonder will be released on 4 November.

Speaking about Innocence and Sadness, a piano ballad, Dermot Kennedy said, “It’s impossible for me to express how much this song means to me. I wrote this song on the piano in my parents’ house. “Innocence and sadness in the same night” means I cling to my childlike sense of wonder while learning how to face all the challenges of life. All in search of steady rhythm joy. Reliable and true joy.”

Sonder is expected to mark a new chapter for Best International Male BRIT Award nominee Dermot Kennedy.  It features the tracks Something to Someone and Dreamer.

The UK tour is expected to find Dermot Kennedy performing to more than 120,000 fans.  The tour news also landed after her headlined Friday night at Ireland’s Electric Picnic Festival.
