Art School Girlfriend, aka Polly Mackey, has revealed her latest track Heaven Hanging Low which features on her upcoming second album Soft Landing.

The release comes as Art School Girlfriend reveals details of a UK tour including Manchester gig at YES.  The gig in Manchester is one of six UK dates announced for November 2023.  She will also headline shows in Bristol, London, Brighton, Cardiff and Leeds.

Heaven Hanging Low is accompanied by a video directed by Zak Watson.  The track bridges the floating melodies and small euphorias which can be found on her debut and upcoming albums respectively.

The video features drifting landscapes to accompany the track which opens with drums before developing a main character experience detailing a queer love story.

Speaking about the track, Polly Mackey said, “These lyrics have a lot of religious imagery, but Heaven Hanging Low is actually a queer love song all about finding that celestial and sublime euphoria in your closer, more domesticated surroundings.”

11 Track Soft Landing follows Art School Girlfriend’s 2020 debut album Is It Light Where You Are?
