Annie Dressner brings her 15-date UK tour to Manchester’s Rose & Monkey next week, in support of latest collaborative album 48 Hours.  The album was a collaboration with David Form and reached number 23 in the Official Folk Albums Chart on release in July.

The singer-songwriter headlines the Manchester gig on Wednesday 21 September.

Annie Dressner has released three full length albums featuring uplifting vocals, clever wordplay and a straightforward lyrical style.  In doing so she has drawn comparisons with Mazzy Star, Jenny Lewis, Soccer Mommy and Phoebe Bridgers.

The gig in Manchester also comes off the back of her latest single release I’ve Always Been Like This.  The track marks her second co-write with Matthew Caws and looks at feelings of loneliness.

Annie Dressner’s songs have received considerable airplay on Radio 2 and 6 Music and Radio 1 via her cowrite with Saturday Night Gym Club, The Nowhere Team.  Her latest solo album Coffee At The Corner Bar includes a Magnetic Fields cover and a co-write with Matthew Caws of Nada Surf.

The artist has collaborated and co-written songs with David Ford, Polly Paulusma, Matthew Caws (Nada Surf), The Last Dinosaur, Saturday Night Gym Club, Stonier and Tim Gordine.

She has performed at the Green Man Festival, Secret Garden Party, Cambridge Folk Festival, Cluny 2, Green Note, Norwich Arts Centre, Cambridge Junction, Night & Day among countless other venues and has shared stages with Echobelly, Emily Barker, Simone Felice, The East Pointers, Lucy Wainwright Roche and Fossil Collective, as well as a co-headline tour with Polly Paulusma in February 2020 and David Ford in 2022.
