Winter Funland, the UK’s biggest Winter Wonderland, will return to Manchester’s Event City for Christmas 2019 after the success of last year’s event.

The event witnessed more than 85,000 people visit the Christmas festivities last year and now the event will return with attractions including an ice rink, Christmas circus, panto, funfair and … of course … Santa Claus.

In addition to the attractions, organisers have promised a wide range of food and drink offerings and family friendly facilities throughout the venue.

In addition organisers have created an autism-friendly sensory experience which will be available exclusively for autistic children and their families to enjoy on Monday 9 December.  The Winter Funland will be closed to the general public and transformed making it a welcoming and exciting space for young people affected by autism. Not only will there will be fewer crowds around, but the volume of the attractions will be lowered, the lighting and flickering lights will be reduced and a special space to chill out if any aspect gets too overwhelming will also be available.

Speaking about the event, Winter Funland event director Andy Windmill commented, “Last year’s event was a phenomenal success and this year promises to be bigger, brighter and full of even more festive fun. We have pulled out all of the stops to ease queues for Santa, quicker service for food and of course – brought in even more exciting funfair rides.”

Organisers have also promised to repeat last year’s donation of £100,000 worth of tickets to local charities and underprivileged families.
