The Subways have announced a UK tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album Young For Eternity including a gig at Manchester’s Band on the Wall. The Manchester gig is one of ten UK dates they have announced.
The band has also confirmed details of a new collection of tracks marking the anniversary, When I’m With You.
Young For Eternity was a huge moment for the band. Landing in 2005, the album went gold and featured the iconic track Rock & Roll Queen. The album led to huge tours in the UK and Germany.
New album When I’m With You will be a selection of singles and fan favourites from their journey so far alongside two new tracks.
The album will open appropriately with the band’s debut single Oh Yeah. It also includes the likes of With You, I Want To Hear What You have Got To Say, We Don’t Need Money To Have A Good Time, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and key songs from 2023’s acclaimed Uncertain Joys such as the title track and You Kill My Cool.
The compilation brings new material too. It includes two new songs: I Need To Feel You Closer, which premiered during last year’s live shows, and Passenger’s Side. The new recordings also mark the album debut of drummer Camille Phillips. She joined in 2023 to join founder members Billy Lunn (vocals/guitar) and Charlotte Cooper (vocals/bass) after original drummer Josh Morgan departed for family reasons.
