Set It Off have shared their new single Creating Monsters ahead of their 2025 UK headline tour.
The UK tour will open with a Manchester gig at the O2 Ritz.
New release Creating Monsters is the latest single from the group who are embracing their status as an independent band. Their decision to control their own creative process and produce the music they want to make lead the band’s drummer Maxx Danziger to declare, “We feel like we’re a new band again. This is the most fun we’ve ever had, and we’re going to keep chasing that feeling.”
Creating Monsters follows recent releases Evil People, Punching Bag and Fake Ass Friends.
Speaking about the track, Cody Carson, singer and lyricist of the multi-million streaming band, explained, “The original voice memo for the ‘Creating Monsters’ concept is called ‘Big band metal!!! DO THIS!!!’. It was a BLAST writing it! We were writing a big band jazz rock song, but with heavy rock. …
“Part of the battle with anxiety is being around people that don’t deal with it, and don’t understand. So we came up with the idea that it’s like creating a room full of monsters that only you can see. This song is about the prolonged battle with anxiety, as well as the will to fight back.
“I want people to hear this and know they’re not alone in their struggle, but also be able to use it as a tool to somewhat come to terms with it, laugh it off in a way, and celebrate that we’re still fighting the good fight.”
