Self Esteem has revealed details of a UK tour including TWO Manchester Academy gigs. The Manchester gigs are part of a 14-date UK and Ireland run.
Self Esteem has also shared her new single If Not Now, It’s Soon, accompanied by a video from regular collaborator Piers Dennis.
The new track was inspired by Self Esteem’s years before her rise to fame. If finds the artist, aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor, addressing hypersexuality, booze and self-destruction. It forms a message of holding on and determination. As Self Esteem explains,” Personally, you have to wait and one day you’ll get somewhere less painful. But the world will hopefully get somewhere less painful too. It’s about hope, perseverance and patience!”
The track marks the third single from Self Esteem’s upcoming new album A Complicated Woman. Self Esteem will release A Complicated Woman on 25 April. The album is the follow up to her BRIT and Mercury Prize-nominated 2021 album Prioritise Pleasure.
