Rudy’s will open a new pizzeria in Altrincham in July, marking its 27th restaurant since opening in 2015 in Ancoats.
The neighbourhood pizzeria will bring its relaxed dining concept to the former OneCentral food court on Central Way, right in the heart of the suburb. The opening at Charis House will bring a new mezzanine level, extension to the side/rear and a repositioning of the external stairwell as they make space for 100 covers. There will also be outdoor dining options.
After launching in Ancoats, Rudy’s quickly picked up a huge following for its Neapolitan pizzas. Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan tradition of pizza-making, serving classic recipes such as Marinara, Margherita and Calabrese – all originating from Naples, the birthplace of pizza. Rudy’s also pays homage to famous pizzerias around the globe with its rotating specials. The Altrincham restaurant will feature a bar complete with Italian spritzes, Italian and local lagers and stirred-cocktails.

Rudy’s prides itself on its ingredients and use of authentic Neapolitan techniques. The dough is made fresh daily using Caputo ’00’ flour which ferments for at least 24 hours. Ingredients come from Naples, including San Marzano tomatoes grown on fields next to Mount Vesuvius. And the dough is cooked in a Stefano Ferrara oven for around 60 seconds resulting in a soft and light pizza.
They have since opened 7 pizzerias in Greater Manchester with 27 across the country. Across Manchester Rudy’s currently has branches on Portland Street, Peter Street, in Chorlton, Didsbury and Sale and, of course, Ancoats. Outside of Manchester they have a string of locations across Liverpool, London, Birmingham and more.
The new restaurant is expected to create up to 30 jobs. They will be holding recruitment days for full and part time positions nearer to the opening date.
