Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo+Juliet is headed to Manchester’s Albert Hall for a one week screening run alongside a live orchestra.
Backyard Cinema will bring their screen of the iconic film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, to the North West for the first time. Alongside candle-lit aisles of the stunning venue, the famous movie soundtrack will be brought to life with a live band and 12-piece choir. They will perform before the film, during the interval and after the screening with tracks including Young Hearts Run Free, Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good), When Doves Cry and more.
The experience has been enjoyed by more than 100,000 fans in London and now makes its way to the Grade II listed building for an exclusive week of screenings.
Previous events run by Backyard Cinema in Manchester include Elf and Home Alone over the Christmas season at Depot Mayfield and the Miami Beach pop up in the summer of 2023 which included interactive shows Barbie on the Beach, Super Sing-alongs and Dirty Dancing Beach Parties.
