Alt-rock band RedHook have shared their latest single Pyromaniac, their fourth track of 2024.

The track takes inspiration from hip-hop, stadium rock and metalcore whilst delving into the subject of mental health.  As vocalist Emmy Mack explains, “Pyromaniac is a song about making an urgent decision to get professional help with your mental health. It soundtracks this brutally catalytic moment – standing alone in the wreckage of your past mistakes and desperately resolving to change before it kills you. To figure out the root of your self-destructive patterns so you can finally break them. It’s about reflecting on every bridge you’ve ever burnt and asking for help to figure out how to not burn anymore.”

Alongside Pyromaniac, RedHook have also release an accompanying video directed by Colin Jeffs.  The video takes inspiration from the symbolism and metaphors of the 1986 film The Labyrinth whilst delving into Emma Mack’s mind.  Her mind is represented by a dark, whimsical space, let only by candles and filled with unnerving objects including singing sock puppets depicting her fall into madness.

Pyromaniac is produced by Stevie Knight and mixed by James Paul Wisner.

RedHook release Pyromaniac as they celebrate signing with Adventure Cat Records.

RedHook will tour the UK and Europe this Autum including UK dates in Cardiff, Deby, Leeds, London and Southampton.
