Manchester cocktail bar Finders Keepers will celebrate its first birthday in a collaboration with one of the best bars in the world.
As part of the special event running next week two of Madrid’s most popular drinks brands and venues will take over the waterside bar.
From Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 August, Finders Keepers will host a special event from Mahou, the most popular beer in Spain. The interior of the 62 cover Finders Keepers will be transformed inside to bring a Spanish feel with vintage artwork and Mahou branding. Meanwhile Schooners of Mahou will be available.
Then on 25 August, Finders Keepers will be taken over by mixologists from Salmon Guru Madrid, rated 16th best bar in the world.
The one-day only event will feature drinks, mixes and creations from the venue established in 2017 by legendary bartender Diego Cabrera. Guests will be able to try four of it’s creations including the infamous Ultramarino; combining No3 Gin, mezcal, sherry wine and rhubarb syrup served with a crispy parmesan chip garnish, plus the Tropical Vieux Carre; combining Highland Park, cognac, red vermouth, mango and hops.
Guests can book two-hour slots for up to four people (at 4pm or 6pm) for the takeover. 30 outside tables will also be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Speaking about the takeovers, founders of Finders Keepers Liam Manton and Amy Harrison said, “We wanted to bring something truly unique to Manchester. Hosting Mahou and Salmon Guru for our first birthday is a fantastic way to celebrate and offer something special to the neighbourhood. Our Madrid to the Marina takeover is about doing something crazy and fun that the community will love, with brands we know they’ll really like.”
