Movements have shared the video to their latest single Afraid To Die. The release comes ahead of a set at the upcoming Outbreak Fest in Manchester.
The Southern California post-hardcore band shared their first taste of new music since 2023’s RUCKUS! with the track. As they explain, they used the energy of RUCKUS! to build on, developing the new single. “With “Afraid to Die,’ we were able to take the energy that was in RUCKUS!, and fine-tune it by exploring different realms of what this band can be and what our music can sound like and I think we did a good job of that with this song,” says the band’s frontman Patrick Miranda. “Sonically, it’s so different than anything we’ve ever done, and yet I think it still pulls on the heart strings as a lot of our older music does. This song is energetic and bouncy, and I can see it being a really fun song to play live and I can’t wait to start doing that!”
Following on from the single, Movements will be performing at Manchester’s Outbreak Fest. The Manchester gig marks one of a string of UK and Ireland headline and festival dates. They will also be performing at 2000 Trees Festival and a huge show at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
