Manchester singer-songwriter Lusaint has announced two headline gigs including one in Manchester at Night and Day.
As well as the Manchester gig Stretford raised Lusaint will also headline at London’s Camden Assembly.
The dates come after Lusaint released her debut EP Self Sabotage in September 2024. The EP has been added to more than 80 editorial playlists and streamed more than 10 million times globally. Tracks from the EP have also received numerous radio plays.
Lusaint was inspired from an early age by the jazz and blues sounds found in her parents’ extensive music collection. It was the hits of such as Ella Fitzgearld and Nina Simone that drew her in. At the beginning of her career, she spent her time singing covers of classic artists such as these, posting them online and performing in local bars and restaurants.
From 2019, everything changed. Lusaint’s cover of En Vogue’s Don’t Let Go received airtime on a popular UK TV show and was crowned the UK’s most Shazam’d song in one day. A cover of Wicked Game followed which has generated over 30 million views on YouTube alone. After signing with Heavenly Fire, Lusaint then began to release her own original music with her 2023 debut Dark Horse.
