Multi-platinum and Grammy Award winning Little Big Town will open their UK tour with a Manchester gig at the Bridgewater Hall in September.
Their Friends of Mine UK tour will feature seven UK dates. As well as the Manchester gig they will headline dates in Bristol, Cambridge, Newcastle, London, Birmingham and Glasgow. Support comes from Ashley Monroe.
The four-piece (Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman and Jimi Westbrook) are well known to UK country music fans with three performances at Country to Country including a headline slot in 2018. They now return to the UK to celebrate their 25th anniversary and in support of their recently released Greatest Hits album.
The album includes a new collaboration with Miranda Lambert on their 2010 platinum smash Little White Church.
Other artists to feature on the 12-track Greatest Hits album include Sugarland with a collaborative cover of Phil Collins’ Take Me Home and Kelsea Ballerini on Shut Up Train.
Speaking about the Greatest Hits album and hitting their 25th anniversary, Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild said, “This Greatest Hits album is all about reflecting on some of the songs that have meant the most to us throughout the band’s incredible journey. These last 25 years have been an absolute whirlwind and we’re so thankful to have our fans along for the ride – this album is truly a love letter to them.”
