Leonie Jakobi has released her new single So Much Love To Give, which features on her upcoming debut album What Are The People Gonna Say?. The track marks a new creative chapter for the German-born, Liverpool-based artist, combining heartland rock with modern lyrical depth.

Leonie Jakobi recorded So Much Love To Give at guitarist and singer/songwriter Arielle’s studio using vintage analogue equipment. The result is a warm, guitar-driven track rooted in classic rock tradition. She wrote the song with Bruce Springsteen in mind, particularly the joy he brings to audiences during his live shows. The single aims to channel that same energy from the perspective of a young female songwriter.

Speaking about the track, Leonie Jakobi said, “Lyrically, So Much Love to Give dives into that deep, restless feeling of wanting to love someone but holding back. Inspired in part by the idea that grief is love with nowhere to go, the song speaks to the struggle of carrying love that has no clear place to land. But at its core, it’s a song about hope — about realizing that, no matter what, you’ll always have yourself. The chorus is a rallying cry for resilience, a reminder that even in the hardest moments, you can still learn to fly.”

The single follows her recent release I Deserve To Shine.  The track built on previous support from 6 Music, BBC Introducing, and Planet Rock. Her music blends Americana, country rock, and soft rock with emotionally honest songwriting. Previous track Don’t Mind Me (While I Give You Up) will also appear on her forthcoming album.

Leonie Jakobi’s debut full-length project What Are The People Gonna Say? draws on experiences from her twenties. The lyrics reflect personal growth, emotional resilience, and learning to define happiness on her own terms.  It takes on things that she has learned in her twenties – how you can’t please everyone, how you’re responsible for your own happiness, surviving heartbreak and loss.

She will celebrate the release with a special homecoming performance on Friday 5 September 2025 in Dreieich, Germany. The show will take place at Dreieichenhain castle, where she previously performed before relocating to Liverpool. She will also play Coast Festival on Sunday 29 June and Wokingham Festival on Monday 25 August.
