Jessie Murph has released a new single titled Heroin, the latest track from her forthcoming album Sex Hysteria. The song, which builds around a piano and strings arrangement, marks a quieter, more vulnerable moment in Murph’s latest work and delves into the emotional intensity of a love that’s difficult to walk away from.

Heroin will appear on Sex Hysteria, Murph’s second studio album and the follow-up to her debut, That Ain’t No Man That’s The Devil. The new album includes 15 songs and features guest appearances from Gucci Mane and Lil Baby.  The track marks the latest taste of the upcoming release following the success of Blue Strips and Touch Me Like A Gangster, which both charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

The new single and album land ahead of a Manchester gig at Manchester Academy in October.

Sex Hysteria explores themes of sexuality, generational trauma, and personal transformation. According to Murph, it represents her most thematically cohesive project to date and invites listeners into a deeply personal narrative—confronting family wounds, embracing desire, and rejecting shame. The artwork, which shows Murph styled in a classic 1960s beehive, contrasts a stylised exterior with raw lyrical honesty.

Sex Hysteria is Jessie’s most thematically cohesive work to date, peeling back the layers of her story like never before as she transforms personal pain into cathartic, powerful music. Across 15 tracks, she reckons with the past, interrogates inherited trauma, and explores the emotional complexities of growing up in environments where feelings are buried deep. From confronting family wounds to reclaiming her body and desires, she pushes back against the shame and stigma that often silence women who dare to be loud, sexual, or emotionally honest. Sex Hysteria is both a provocation and a reclamation.

Jessie Murph will perform at Manchester Academy on 22 October 2025 as part of the Worldwide Hysteria Tour. The tour includes four shows in the UK and one in Ireland:
