Health have announced a string of UK tour dates including a Manchester gig at Rebellion. They will also headline at Liverpool’s O2 Academy 2.
The announcement follows last week’s release of Ashamed, a collaboration with Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches. It also follows their set at Download Festival this weekend.
The Manchester and Liverpool gigs are two of six UK and Ireland dates they have announced. They open the tour with a headline gig at Birmingham’s Institute 2 in October. The six dates culminate in a huge show at London’s O2 Academy Islington. The band are currently on the road playing festivals across Europe including Tons of Rock and Roadburn.
Health released their fifth studio album Rat Wars late last year. The album has gone on to become their most streamed album to date, which must than 24 million global streams. Rat Wars debuted at number 1 on Apple’s Alternative Top Albums Chart and in the Top 10 of Spotify’s Top Albums Chart. It also picked up a wealth of critical and fan praise. The album was produced by Stint and mixed by Lars Stalfors. It was also included on a string of Best Albums of 2023 lists including nods from New York Magazine, Revolver, Flood and more.
