FREYA BEER SET FOR MANCHESTER CO-OP LIVE DATE AND INTIMATE STAGE & RADIO SHOW

Freya Beer will support Dr John Cooper Clarke at his Manchester Co-Op Live show before returning to the city for a headline run in May.

The poet, fashionista and singer-songwriter will perform a string of shows alongside John Cooper Clarke this month, culminating at a date at Manchester’s Co-Op Live.  During the shows she will perform a solo set of her own alternative poetry.

In May Freya Beer will then set out on a headline UK tour with her band including a gig at Manchester’s Stage & Radio.

The singer-songwriter from West London is inspired by art, literature, alternative fashion and music.  This results in a gothic soul musicality accompanied by a devil-may-care spirit.  She sparked a wave of attention with her self-released debut single Bike Boy and follow-up Six Months in 2018.  This brought about a BBC Introducing Live Lounge Session and a feature on Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 Music show.

Shortly afterwards, Freya launched her own label Sisterhood Records in 2019 to further her creativity. In 2020, she released the single Dear Sweet Rosie with the track drumming up further support from BBC 6 Music as well as a live session on Marc Riley’s show.  A string of singles and her debut album Beast continued to garner a wealth of praise as well as key festival dates, a support run with Honeyblood and her US debut.  She has also launched her own radio show, Freya’s Gothic Disco on Islington Radio, appeared in Time Out, Hunger and appeared in a shoot for Rokit London.

Freya Beer is currently working on the follow-up to her 4-track EP Tatianna.
