Emmma has shared her new single Plastic Swings which features on her upcoming debut EP Secondary Character.
Emmma will release Secondary Character on 28 November.
The new single marks the follow up to Emmma’s debut single Playing It Safe. That single featured a tinge of vulnerability and connectivity. Now Plastic Swings finds Emmma delving into nostalgia with grunge influences and alt-pop sounds accompanying a look back at her childhood. In the track Emmma takes us back to the moment she learnt the hard way why people go out of their way to hurt others.
As she explains, “I always wondered what made people the way they are as grown-ups and what experiences they must have been through in order to shape the people they are now. What actions happened throughout my life that shaped me into who I am today?”
Emmma wrote Plastic Swings alongside its producer Doug Schadt and Emily Haber.
The track, along with debut single Playing It Safe, features on Emmma’s upcoming debut EP Secondary Character.
