Emmma has shared her debut single Playing It Safe, telling the story of her changing life perspective and becoming a supporting character in her own life.

The track marks the first taste of her upcoming EP.

It was off the back of realising that she had become an unwitting bit player in her life that she penned Playing It Safe.  The track found her writing herself out of the situation and finding peace and growth.  As Emmma explains, “I had very much fallen into a pattern in my life where I played the game too safe. I get really scared when I’m pushed outside of my comfort zone whether that be in relationships with other people or following rules. I was always so nervous that I was missing out on the joys of life because I’m boxing myself in by being too safe with my choices. Life had become stagnant.”

Emmma co-wrote Playing It Safe with Emily Haber, with production and co-writing from Doug Schadt and mixing from Lee Smith.

Playing It Safe will feature on Emmma’s debut EP which will land in November 2024.

She will spend much of the closing months of 2024 touring as a member of Sasha Alex Sloan’s live band on guitar and keys.  The tour includes dates across Asia, North America and Europe.  They will headline at London gig at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 27 November.
