Country singer-songwriter Emma King has announced the details of her fourth album which will land in August. Emma King will release Pocketful of Sun on 22 August 2025. To co-incide with the announcement, she has also shared the title track with an accompanying video.
New single Pocketful of Sun marks more than just a nod to summer time. The track was partly inspired by her autistic daughter Eloise, with the sunflower marking the symbol of empathy and inclusivity for hidden disabilities. It’s a track which looks at the joy of childhood and celebrating the energy of youth. The song delves in to the journey Emma King and her daughter have been on from diagnosis at age 2 through to the challenges the family faces, living non-verbally yet experiencing unconditional love.
Emma King’s remarkable journey has taken her from Northern England to Tennessee, touring Europe and receiving 5-star album reviews along the way. Having lived in Tennessee for 8 years, Emma became a regular of Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe and represented the UK at Nashville’s CMA International festival, appearing on radio stations across the country including the legendary WSM (home of the Opry).
