Dead Pony have announced the release of their new single Everything Burns ahead of a UK tour including a Manchester gig.

The Scottish band will headline at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on 10 December 2024.

Speaking about new track Everything Burns the band said, “Everything Burns is our most fun and adventurous song to date. Perspective flicks between the joker – plus his goons – inflicting mayhem upon Gotham City and Batman doing his best to stop them. Inspired to drop tune our guitars way down after a summer of seeing acts like Loathe, Korn and Slipknot, we wanted to capture that energy and wrap it up in comic book lore. “It’s not about money, it’s about sending a message, Everything Burns……”

The upcoming tour comes at the end of a year which has found Dead Pony receive massive acclaim for their debut album, receive a nomination for Scottish Album of the Year, confirm their debut Download Festival appearance for 2025 and feature as part of MTV Music Week.

Dead Pony’s debut album Ignore This landed at number 2 in the Independent album breakers chart, 27 album chart, 8 Scottish albums, 28 Physical albums chart and 11 Independent albums chart.  The album was written by guitarist and programmer Blair Crichton and bandmates Anna Shields (vocals), Liam Adams (bass) and Euan Lyons (drums).  “As a band, we’ve experienced an awful lot of being ignored” explains Blair Crichton.  “We really don’t like that. So we set about making a debut LP so good that people had to pay attention. It’s a record that literally dares people to ‘Ignore THIS…’”

Anna Shields added, “It’s about making music that appeals to people like us.  A lot of things have changed for us over the last few years, but it’s arguably even more powerful seeing how we’ve stayed the same. That’s solidified my understanding of who our fans are: people who like good music, who aren’t in too much of a hurry to pigeonhole bands into categories, who don’t give a fuck about following trends. When I look into the crowd at our shows, I see people who remind me of myself as a teenager. Those are the people this music is for: the misfits who struggle to fit in anywhere else…”
