Courtney Hadwin has shared a new version of her fan favourite track Monsters recorded during her Live at Metropolis Studios series.
The Yorkshire rock’n’soul artist has made a huge impression through her initial releases and collaborations with the likes of Sam Fender and Steven Van Zandt.
The new live version of Monsters lands as Courtney Hadwin starts to build towards the release of her debut album which lands later this year.
Monsters made a big international impact upon release, going Top 20 on the Billboard Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart and reaching #1 on various iTunes’ charts in both Australia and Sweden, while the official video has exceeded a million views.
The updated song is the latest instalment in Courtney Hadwin’s Live At Metropolis Studios series which has so far featured That Girl Don’t Live Here, Breakable, Christmas Rocks, Jagged and Call Me Back.
Speaking about Monsters, Courtney Hadwin said, “Monsters’ means so much to me. I wrote it at a time where songwriting was the only way I could express myself when I was struggling with a lot personally. To then be able to record it live where a lot of my inspirations in music had performed live was just amazing!”
Inspired by the likes of Mick Jagger, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Aerosmith and Bruno Mars, Courtney first came to attention as she won over huge audiences as she made the final of America’s Got Talent when she was just 13-years-old. Even now, her audition is one of the show’s biggest moments with over 310 million views.
Six years on, she now has a wealth of big stage experience to her name with further collaborators including The Struts, Will.I.Am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones. She has also completed a run of Las Vegas shows and performed at New York’s prestigious Carnegie Hall to honour legendary music executive Clive Davis on a bill that included the likes of Dionne Warwick, Carlos Santana and Art Garfunkel.
