Brian
The Manchester gig is one of 15 UK and Ireland dates they have confirmed. They will also headline a Liverpool gig at the Olympia.
The tour comes after Brian
The albums follow in the path of Newcombe’s somewhat defiant approach. “My only option with everything in life has always been that you just jump into the fire,” he declares. “It doesn’t matter what it is.” That mentality has filtered through his career which has taken in rock’n’roll; psychedelic rock; country-blues; noise-pop and more. From reluctance to say yes to contracts through to management, he has trodden a different path. “I just knew I would be more successful in a certain way by saying no, just being contrary because I figured that if people liked me they were gonna like me anyway,” he says. “Or dislike me. It doesn’t matter.”
