The Ice-T fronted metal band Body Count will headline a Manchester gig at the O2 Ritz next week.
The Manchester gig is one of three UK dates they are playing as part of a wider European tour. As well as a gig in Manchester they are headlining dates at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town and Glasgow’s SWG3.
Body Count formed in 1980. They are fronted by Ice-T who, already established as a rapper, formed the group with lead guitarist Ernie C thanks to a shared interest in metal music.

Body Count are expected to released their seventh album Merciless later this year.
As well as the Manchester gig at UK tour dates, Body Count are performing at a string of festivals across Europe. Their Summer 2024 festival run includes Germany’s Rock im Park and Rock am Ring; France’s Hellfest and Rock For People in the Czech Republic.
