Aphrah has shared her new single Silhouette, accompanied by a lyric video. The track marks the first song from her upcoming debut EP.
The single lands fresh from Aphrah’s collaboration with the Grammy-nominated Crate Classics on their recent track Waiting For You (Gold).
New single Silhouette is set to feature on Aphrah’s upcoming debut EP. The track finds her embracing alt-pop whilst exploring self-doubt and empowerment. Speaking about the track Aphrah explained, “Exploring themes of body image, disordered eating and fitting into society’s standards of beauty, ‘Silhouette’ is a song about breaking out of the shadows, taking the listener on a journey of discovering your worth, stepping into your full self and knowing that you are more than enough.”
Aphrah wrote Silhouette track alongside Jessica Sharman and LANTA with production from Rhannon Mair and Jessica Sharman.
The accompanying lyric video was created by animator Sophya Kebets, who was nominated for Best Micro Short at the BFI Future Film Festival.
Aphrah’s upcoming debut EP is set to take inspiration from the themes of mental health, body image, depression and anxiety.
